Boston Disaster Response Team
The protection of the citizens of Boston is priority one for my administration. Considering there seem to be new pandemics bimonthly.
We learned that pandemics terrify the public and can result in hoarding and violence.
As mayor, I will make sure Boston is prepared for any pandemic or communicable diseases found and identified.
This will be done the first week in the Mayor's office.
A Pandemic Response Team will be created within 7 days of my administration taking office.
The bipartisan Pandemic Response Team will be headed by a highly experienced medical professional.
The team will consist of:
Department of Health
Boston Police
Fire Department
EMS
The team will be rounded out by professionals chosen by healthcare experts.
The Pandemic Response Team will create a Center for Disease Control Liaison. A liaison for Homeland Security and the Transportation Department.
Part of the Pandemic Response Team will be Liaison to vital city businesses.
Boston companies will be advised months before a potential pandemic becomes active.
Boston companies will be required to create protocols and rules to prevent hoarding and shortages of products for the general public.
The companies will receive confidential memos and will be advised when pandemic protocols are to begin.
All Boston businesses will be required to report all potential product outage concerns. Report security concerns.
Boston businesses will be required on a 9-month basis to report their supply and any production issues for the future.
The city will keep an eye on critical items such as:
Baby Formula
Toilet tissue
Through the program of having medical RVs visit students in schools. The treatment team can be aware of any spreading sicknesses or illnesses traveling within the schools they treat students at.

The creation of the Pandemic Response Team will be by medical experts. I will present this plan and let the experts do what they do.

Keeping Businesses Open
The COVID pandemic shows us that businesses are vulnerable to even the slightest changes in society. Any decision that slows or ends their ability to do business.
I have created a plan to keep businesses open even if there are limited or no contact orders.
I would turn to companies like DoorDash to provide drivers during the turbulent time. I would designate drivers as essential workers.
Businesses would be allowed to stay open for deliveries only. Well-protected employees will cook or pick the items needed, and deliveries will deliver the food. I am pro-business and learned just how vulnerable businesses can be.
This plan will help businesses fight to stay open and profitable.
Coastal City Realities
The Boston Disaster Response Team will be an agency that prepares Boston for the dangers of being a coastal city.
The city agency will work with FEMA and the Massachusetts National Guard. The agency will seek to set up protocols for the potential flooding and hurricanes for the City of Boston.
Staging boats for emergency evacuations in flooding.
Security staging to protect people and property.
Create unique trucks that can provide food for hundreds of people. Completely mobile.
A unique truck for bathrooms and showers. Mobile.
These resources are in the event of the worst catastrophe. I have studied the effects of Hurricane Katrina. Under my administration, Boston will be prepared for the possibility.
Have you considered adding reps from unions and churches? They generally get hit first by epidemics and lockdowns. I’d also consider a representative from the gig economy since they get leaned on heavily.
As far as plans go, I figure you can have some templates: transmission is probably going to be through the air, through the mouth, through the genitals, or through cuts and scrapes.
Also consider a spelling and grammar check before posting, got a couple errors in here. For something this serious it’s an unforced hit to credibility.
